New Project

So today I closed on a new flip house. It's a 1 1/2 story with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and 1580 sqft.  It's located in Kechi, a little town northeast of Wichita, KS.  The house sits on a cul-de-sac and has a rather large lot, over 1/2 acre. More pictures to come. And in case you're wondering I didn't take all that time off, I've been helping my dad with some apartments he bought.  But now that we're done with those it's time to start a new project.

SOLD!

The house is sold!  I'm proud of my work and am a little attached to it, but I'm ready to see it go. Time to move on to something else, maybe I'll take a vacation.

Finally DONE!

I can't believe the last time I posted was July 27th.  I've been working on the house almost non-stop since then, everyday including weekends.  When I started this house I actually thought I could get it done in 6 months, but I was wrong.  Thirteen months later it's finally done!  But I have learned a lot doing this house and I expect that things will be better on the next one.

You can't see it well but there is a oak tree just to the right of this photo that was taken out.





The path runs right through the spot where that oak tree was.






That deck was really rotten.

 


Now there is a patio instead.





Those windows were in really bad shape so the whole bay window came off.

I've finally finished all the tile in the house. Woohoo!!! Here are pics.

Gotten Lots Done

I've been working on the house non-stop and have gotten a lot of things done, I just haven't had time to get on here and post them. 

We started and finished the siding on the family room.  We did this because we took off the bay window that was deteriorating.

We re-used the battins.  Some of them weren't long enough so we had to splice them together.

I finally got the pedestal sink in the bathroom. Now all that is left is base trim.

I also started the kitchen tile. I've finished the floor but not the backsplash yet.  And the countertops were installed.  They are laminate but really look like granite.
